Plus 8 Launches Kickstarter Campaign For Innovative Moldable Hard Drying Household Epoxy
Plus 8, an innovative British / Australian product development company, officially launched a Kickstarter campaign for garnering widespread support and financial backing for FIXX, a hard setting, hand moldable epoxy resin designed for household use.
London, UK - The Kickstarter campaign aims to provide financing for manufacturing, marketing and promotion of the FIXX product line.
FIXX is a 2 part epoxy resin made for numerous repairs. The epoxy resin, which is available in four colors, dries hard, rather than the conventional and more standard soft dry epoxies on the market today. The hard dry epoxy is promoted by the Company as easy to use, with a user only needing to open the FIXX pack, mix the two parts together by massaging them into each other for at least 30 seconds, then roll by hand into the desired shape. Because FIXX sets hard like a plastic, it can be used with, or to fix a variety of materials, including wood, aluminum, steel, ceramics, glass, and most plastics.
“FIXX can be used for many things, from repairing things in and around your house, objects indoors and out, use FIXX to hold cables in place outdoors or indoors, fixing things on your car, at the office, in the kitchen or anywhere you like, “ Said project creator Mat. When questioned on the apparent versatility of the epoxy, Mat continued, stating “You can use FIXX to make things too. From hooks, to gadgets, toys, models, pot stands, pen holders, cable holders, phone stands and pretty much anything else we have been able think of.”
‘FIXX’ uses similar technology to that of both a hard setting modeling putty and industrial putty used for fixing pipes and other sensitive systems, but puts them safely in the palm of the user’s hand. The hard drying Epoxy Resin that cures at room temperature in around 24 hours and can withstand extreme temperatures from -50 up to 150 degrees Celsius (-58 to 302 degrees Fahrenheit).
