WeeTect Introduces a Cutting Edge Eyewear with Anti-scratch and Anti-fog Coating

WeeTect today introduced a new polycarbonate eyewear with both anti-fog and anti-scratch coating.

Shanghai, China - This is a groundbreaking technology with superior performance than the available safety gears in the market. The new technology aims to improve both worker safety and productivity.

Like other products that WeeTect has introduced in the market, this new product is known by its brand name - WeeTect Anti-fog Anti-scratch PC Sheet (WAFASPCS).

“Both fogging and scratches are major challenges most workers in industries face with any polycarbonate safety gear. In most cases, this forces them to remove these eyewear thereby, exposing workers to injuries,” said Taylors Lei, WeeTect product manager. “With our new anti-scratch, anti-fog coating; this will be a thing of the past and workers can stay focused on the work at hand without worrying about obscured vision.”

This is a new technology where the polycarbonate eyewear has anti-scratch coating on one surface with anti-fog coating on the opposite surface. These coatings bind permanently on the polycarbonate eyewear.

They do not wear off, thus, can withstand repeated cleaning and extended use. For this reason, it reduces unnecessary expenses of purchasing a new safety eyewear.

The anti-scratch coating is hard enough to withstand all abrasive forces. They are manufactured to meet a high quality standard for optical clarity (class 1) while being cost competitive. Moreover, their quality and performance is tested and verified using 5 different tests. These tests include: Bayer, Taber, steel wool, eraser and tumble tests.

Furthermore, the anti-scratch coating can also be consolidated with other technologies such as UV resistant, anti-graffiti and anti-glare.

The anti-fog coating is manufactured from hydrophilic ingredients. This makes anti-fog coating safe, reliable and environmentally friendly. Throughout the manufacturing process, WeeTect maintains stringent manufacturing process where quality and standard compliance being the main priority.

All anti-fog coating is also subjected to a series of tests. This aims to make them 100% safe for any foggy environment. Normally, the lens is soaked in water for about 2 hours. The lens is also subjected to steam for more than 30 seconds. All anti-fog coating must pass these tests to be used on any eyewear.

For all the two surfaces, WeeTect has adopted either flow or dip coating. Again, the company has adopted either thermal or UV curing technology.
