The program has developed in a way to give Instructors the best possible start to a new, rewarding and exciting career path within the recreational diving industry and has previously provided dive professionals with the tools they need to develop a rewarding and successful career within the industry. The course takes place at Trawangan Dive, the first ever PADI 5 Star IDC Career Development Center (CDC) to be established in Lombok and the Gili Islands.
The program includes a pre course preparation period and in previous years has been conducted over a 4 day period. However in 2016 the Pre-IDC Preparation course will be conducted over 5 days so as to give candidates an even better start to the PADI Instructor Development Course. During the preparation period candidates will review the knowledge and skills learnt during their Divemaster course and develop them to a professional demonstrational standard. As well as the PADI Skill Circuit, Instructor candidates will also review diving theory so as to make the perfect start on the PADI IDC Indonesia Program.
The Instructor Development Course (IDC) runs on an 11 day schedule incorporating all of the required PADI IDC Syllabus as well as some additional workshops that have been developed by Platinum PADI Course Director Holly Macleod.
