Group Home Gradz: A Documentary On The Importance Of Teenage Emotional Health

A one-of-a-kind documentary, Reuniting clients and counselors and sharing their stories.

San Francisco, CA – NovaCali Productions is pleased to announce that the documentary Group Home Gradz has officially launched and is in pre-production and is available for preorder via a Kickstarter campaign now.

Group Home Gradz offers an unprecedented look into the overwhelming social significance of the relationship between the Client and the Counselor. The documentary’s producers are reuniting group home clients and some of their counselors after twenty years and asking them to share their everyday lives. Most of the featured clients came to that therapeutic group home as teenagers struggling with addictions, heavy emotional burdens, and multiple losses.

The documentary’s co-producer, Anja Writer is targeting this feature length documentary at teens, adults, those working with teens, all mental health professionals, and anyone who would like to watch a meaningful documentary about raw hope and being human together.

The production crew features a dedicated team who come from a range of backgrounds and training. They are excited to have an experienced professional Production Consultant, Page Ostrow on board

The Kickstarter campaign is aimed at funding production cost in full at $18,000.
